James Baroud rooftop tents are handmade in Portugal with a shell made of glass reinforced polyester and a Gelcoat finish. This one is much like the Evasion with the addition of the cargo tray on top. It has a large recess with attachment points all around to tie down anything you deem necessary. It has 2 air slots with dust filters to improve ventilation and keep condensation down. James Baroud puts more effort into forming these shells to be aerodynamic and pleasing to the eye. The ladder comes with a storage bag and can be stored inside the tent when folded. The walls are made with 6 aluminized layers that reflect solar rays and while UV and water resistant still remain breathable. All seams are doubled and the walls fit under the hardshell for 100% waterproofing and wind resistance up to 75mph. In the ceiling you get a gear net and a solar powered fan to prevent condensation and pull out excess heat if necessary. They also include a removable and rechargeable light with battery level indicator.

All hard shell tents also feature a removable LED rechargeable flashlight with a reading and spot mode. The light is made of a tough polycarbonate and includes a charge indicator and USB charging cord.

The hard shell roof top tents feature reinforced mounting rails integrated into the lower shell/platform of the tent, and include installation brackets allowing easy direct mounting to most aftermarket roof rack systems.
